Showers now say which round they belong to. A shower is listed as either AM Shower or PM Shower — on the schedule, on the checklist grid and on the printed report. Before, they were all just called Shower, so staff had to work out from the time which round a tick belonged to.

You are notified when a night round is finished. As soon as the last resident on the round is signed off, the people who need to know are told. Nobody has to open the app and check whether it was done.

Team, Schedule and Staffing are now one section. They used to be three separate places in the menu. The time clock has moved under Schedule, which is where most people were already looking for it.

You can break your financial figures down by department. See the same income and expenses split into dietary, housekeeping, care and administration, rather than one total for the whole building.

Reports are sorted into groups. The reports page had one long row of tabs to scan through. They are now grouped by subject, the same way the Finance section already was, so there is less hunting for the report you want.

Choose which notifications each role receives. You can now decide, for every role in your facility, what they are told about. Each notification explains what sets it off and where it arrives — email, the bell inside the app, or both. Staff can also turn off their own without asking a manager.

Deleting an account or a facility can be undone for 60 days. Nothing is deleted the moment you press the button. You have 30 days to undo it yourself. After that, our support team can still restore it for another 30 days. Only once both windows have passed is anything actually removed.

Room cleaning moved into the Care section. It used to sit in a section of its own. It is now with the rest of the daily work — checks, showers and rounds.

Three comparisons to choose from. Pick one at the top of the statement: against the budget you set, against the same period last year, or as a cost per resident per day. Every line updates to match.

See your journal entries over any date range. You could only look at one month at a time. Now you choose any start and end date, and each entry gets its own row.

Permissions are easier to read. Each role's permissions are now one row per area of the app, written in ordinary language instead of a long list of technical names. Finance is restricted to Admins.

General ledger, accounts payable and bank reconciliation. What residents owe you and what you owe suppliers both feed the same ledger, so the two cannot drift apart. You can match transactions against your bank statement without leaving the app.

The three main financial statements. Balance sheet, income statement and cash flow, produced from the financial year and accounting standard you choose once when you open the section.

Schedules for assets, prepaid costs, accruals and loans. Things like depreciation and loan repayments are tracked next to the accounts they affect, rather than in a spreadsheet on the side.

Run more than one building. Combine several facilities into one consolidated set of figures, while still being able to look at each building on its own.

Import the spreadsheets you already have. Bring an Excel budget or a statement of results straight in instead of typing it out again.

Reports load a section at a time. A long report used to show a blank screen until every part of it was ready. The page now appears straight away and fills in as each section arrives, so you can start reading sooner.

Sort and filter your resident list by level of care. Handy for seeing at a glance how many residents sit at each level, and who they are.

Record why a resident moved out. When you complete a move-out you are asked for the reason, and it is shown on the resident's profile from then on.

Incidents ask for a follow-up. After an incident is filed, the person who filed it is reminded to record what happened next. Resident questions raised through ASKSWFT go to the care coordinator rather than waiting to be spotted.

Security updates. Routine security updates applied across the platform, including the editor used for notes and documents.
