Terms of service

Last updated 18 August 2026

These terms govern use of GOSWFT by a facility and the people it gives accounts to. Creating an account or using the service means agreeing to them.

The agreement

The service is provided by [ registered legal entity name ]. Where a facility has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement governs and these terms fill any gap it leaves.

Accounts

A facility is responsible for who it gives accounts to and what permissions it grants them. Credentials are not to be shared, with the single exception of a device account created for a shared clock-in kiosk. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

The facility's data

Resident and staff records entered into the service belong to the facility. We claim no ownership of them and use them only to provide the service, as set out in our privacy policy. A facility may export its data at any time and may ask for deletion when its account ends, subject to the retention its regulator requires.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to access records you have not been given access to, to probe or interfere with its security, or to resell it. We may suspend an account that is being used this way.

Clinical judgement stays with people

GOSWFT records care and helps organise it. It does not practise medicine, provide clinical advice, or replace the judgement of the people delivering care. Its AI features draft and summarise; anything they produce that would reach a person or change a record requires a manager’s approval first. The facility remains responsible for the care it delivers and for meeting its own regulatory obligations.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and to give notice before planned maintenance, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. [ service level commitment, if any ].

Fees

Fees, billing period and notice are as set out in the facility’s order or written agreement: [ pricing and billing terms ].

Ending the agreement

A facility may stop using the service at any time. We may end an account for material breach of these terms, with notice and a reasonable chance to put things right where the circumstances allow. On termination the facility may export its data for [ export window — e.g. 30 days ].

Liability

The service is provided as-is to the extent the law allows. [ limitation of liability — have this drafted by a lawyer ]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [ province ] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
